Agnese Guido

Her work is an exploration of the symbolism of images through painting and drawing. Seeking the poetic and paradoxical side of reality and everyday life, Agnese Guido tells stories in which the gap between objects and human beings is blurred and malleable, leading the viewer into an anthropomorphic dimension where objects show human feelings and figures are pretexts for depicting ideas, as in an allegory of the contemporary.
Drawing on a very broad iconography, she does not favour repetition but rather uses images as a means of narrating through double meanings, evocations, suggestions and symbolic associations of meaning.
Agnese Guido was born in Copertino (Lecce) in 1982 and moved to Milan, where she graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. She has taken part in several exhibitions in Italy, held two solo shows in Milan, in 2019 and 2022, and participated in various exhibition projects and art fairs in Italy. Her work has been published in Artmaze Mag and Elephant Magazine in London, Layout Magazine in Italy and American Chordata in the United States.
