Aronne Pleuteri

A playful attitude toward the things of the world revitalises the capacity to imagine and opens the gates of a collective universe.
Aronne Pleuteri was born in Erba on 7 April 2001. A childhood there introduced him to the stagnant waters of the area’s lakes and to their silent inhabitants. Amid that silence he began to play the flute, and thanks to those peculiar acquaintances he won the prestigious Lake Alserio plein-air painting prize three years in a row while still in middle school. Returning triumphant from these mighty victories, he resolved in 2019 to enrol at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. Having got to know the city’s fauna, noisier than his friends in Brianza, he decided to move to Milan, in whose racket he now lives and works. After notching up several group exhibitions, in February 2022 he presented his first solo show at Spazio Su in Lecce, where he poked fun at death and its subjects.
