Innocent and witty, Letizia Lucchetti’s paintings initially attract with their simple, seemingly naive appearance, then fascinate through the imagery and personal narratives that the young artist masterfully develops.

Her characters’ exaggerated smiles, the pastel colours, the anthropomorphic animals and the symbolic use of inanimate objects have a friendly look that, on closer inspection, can become unsettling, mysterious or tragically humorous.
