Martina Cassatella

To represent the unrepresentable means rendering all forms of language equivalent, merging gesture, movement, light and word – as in Antonin Artaud’s “Theatre of Cruelty”, which is above all ritual and magical. To tell something that cannot be told.
Martina Cassatella was born in San Giovanni Rotondo, province of Foggia, in 1996. She spent her adolescence in nearby Manfredonia, where she attended the Liceo Classico Aldo Moro. After high school she moved to Milan and enrolled in the School of Painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts under Professor Marco Cingolani, completing her Bachelor’s (2019) and Master’s (2021) degrees, both cum laude. She currently lives and works in Milan, where she has her own painting studio.
